Plant a Row - Grow a Row
Plant a Row - Grow a Row is a program that encourages gardeners to grow a little extra and donate the product at harvest time to local food distribution agencies, feeding the homeless and the hungry in their own communities. Scotts Canada has provided financial support and row markers to promote the program, which is a joint effort of The Canadian Association of Food Banks, The Compositing Council of Canada and the Canadian members of the Garden Writers Association of America.
Communities in Bloom
Communities in Bloom brings together citizens of all ages, municipal government, local organizations and businesses who work together to beautify their parks, lawns and gardens. The program provides information and education, and awards Bloom Ratings for achievement in floral displays, landscapes, turf, urban forestry, community involvement, heritage conservation, environmental awareness and tidiness. Scotts Canada is a founding sponsor and the Official Lawn and Garden Sponsor of Communities in Bloom.
CN Tower
Two million visitors a year experience the CN Tower, Canada's "Wonder of the World". Scotts Canada is proud to help this awe-inspring attraction look in top shape for tourists. Scotts Ecosense Natural Lawn Fertilizer keeps the lawns around the grounds looking green and healthy, and Scotts Ecosense Non-Selective Weed Control, formulated from acetic acid, keeps walkways weed and grass-free. The new Communities in Bloom Gardens at the base of the CN Tower is made possible in part from the financial support of Scotts Canada.
